The Sweet Tooth Hotel
Welcome, humans. Hope everything is going great for you so far in the new year seeing as we're only 5 days in and most of us are probably not even close to achieving our goals for the new year. I didn't think I would be working on my goals this soon into the new year but surprise, I actually completed three pretty big goals of mine so stay tuned to see what those goals are as the weeks go by and I slowly start getting my life together! Anyhoo, I thought I would do a little bit of reminiscing just for fun seeing as I'm still trying to figure out what exactly I want to blog about on this little platform of mine.
I'm usually always somewhere in Dallas most days when I'm not at home watching 10 hours worth of YouTube still in my pajamas and frankly just being lazy. I'm trying to be more productive this year but it's kind of hard when my bed is just so damn comfortable and the blankets are so warm and cozy and I'm literally always cold. Anyway. I wanted to write about one of my favorite places that I've been to so far in Dallas and it was actually for my 21st birthday! Mucho thanks to my best friend for kidnapping and surprising me with this!
Upon first entering the Sweet Tooth Hotel, it's a little, well, underwhelming. It took us a bit to actually find the Sweet Tooth Hotel as it's slightly hidden and you kind of have to know where it is already before you go as it's a little downplayed. But, after finally finding it, it's pretty cool as soon as you walk in. With candy coated suitcases and a giant wall of Valentine's Candy decorating the wall along with a cute bathtub full of different colored rubber duckies, it's SUPER artsy! In case you don't know what the Sweet Tooth Hotel is or have never seen or heard of it, it's basically a photo studio for people to go in and take the Instagram pictures of their dreams with the aesthetic of a funky and pop inspired background and props.

There were also headphones that you could put on throughout having your own little mini photo shoots to make it a whole new experience but I chose not to wear them as they were too big for my tiny little head. But the music being played throughout the place was still cool and had some pretty good bops so I was totally okay without the headphones.
There were also a couple of rooms that had some pretty cool displays and set ups for you to also take pictures inside of and kind of have your own private photo taking session. My favorite room was definitely the one with security cameras on literally every single inch of the walls. It was a little creepy but I freaking loved it and it just looked so freaking cool!
I'm not the best model in the world so ignore me in the picture please and thank you but as you can see, the room was AMAZING! We actually went back in the room once we had seen everything else and taken way too many pictures just to kind of chill inside of it.
The other room was just as cool but had a little bit more of a romantic feel with cool flower and light displays. In my opinion, it wasn't as cool but I still was able to take some really cool pictures of my friend so I'm happy about that. I'm pretty happy with how all of our pictures turned out and I would show more of them but I'm definitely not that confident nor do I actually feel comfortable putting pictures of my friends on the internet without their knowledge. I don't think that would make me the best friend ever? But that's just me.
I'm so glad I got to actually go to this really cool place and just let my creativity flow for a bit. This year, one of my major goals was to just try focusing building my photography skills and this was a great experiment for me personally. I've never been great at taking pictures of people and I want to change that. I can take a picture of anything, but people is the one thing I struggle with the most. Hopefully, this year I can maybe take a photography class of some sort or teach myself how to take better profile pictures. I would also love to learn how to create some sort of set out of odd objects, such as the ones inside the Sweet Tooth Hotel. Who would've thought to cover a wall with security cameras, am I right?
Overall, I definitely recommend this place if you're wanting to do something different with your friends and you live in or around Dallas. If you're interested in seeing what all the Sweet Tooth Hotel has to offer or if you want to purchase tickets, click here! I plan on posting a lot more about different places I visit around my lovely Dallas city so stay tuned if you want to see where I go next whether it be a coffee shop, a hidden little treasure of a shop or something unexpected. Love always!
